
Announcement of the 4th Asia Beautiful Fellow
The Beautiful Store Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of three social innovators striving for climate mitigation and adaptation as the 4th cohort of Asia Beautiful Fellow!
For over 10 years, The Beautiful Store Foundation has supported social innovative leaders through the ‘Beautiful Fellow’ program, recognizing that a strong-willed person for change is at the center of solving social problems.
Since launching the Asia Beautiful Fellowship program in 2022 to support social innovative leaders responding to the climate crisis in Asian developing countries, The Beautiful Store Foundation has selected ten fellows. This year, three social innovative leaders from three countries have been selected as the 4th cohort.
We hope to further expand the sharing, circulation, and eco-friendly values of The Beautiful Store Foundation by supporting social innovative leaders who strive to solve various environmental problems.
The 4th cohort of the Asia Beautiful Fellow includes:
Margareta Astaman PT. Nusantara Segar Global (Java Fresh)
Country: Indonesia
Social Mission: Strengthening ecosystem resilience through sustainable polyculture farming practices and improving financial & wellbeing conditions of agricultural communities in rural Areas in Indonesia.
Business outline: ‘Java Fresh’ is Indonesia’s female-led exotic fruit exporter, penetrating 23 countries worldwide since 2014, creating changes in the lives of smallholder farmers and underprivileged women in rural areas. ‘Java Fresh’ is implementing research and technology as well as empowering micro-farmers and women-packers with adequate skills and tools needed, to be able to gain economies of scale from their harvest through a sustainable and fair economic system.
Hai Ho Alternō Pte Ltd
Country: Vietnam
Social Mission: Making industrial decarbonization feasible and affordable, bridging cost barriers so factories can adopt climate-friendly heat solutions, thereby cutting CO2 emissions and improving environmental well-being.
Business outline: ‘Alternō’ provides sand-based thermal battery solutions to replace or reduce fossil fuels in factories. Sand batteries store heat (up to 600°C) from renewable energy sources, enabling food & beverage, automotive, and other manufacturing sectors to slash carbon emissions.
Getthip Hannarong Zero Waste YOLO Co., Ltd
Country: Thailand
Social Mission: YOLO’s mission is to create a zero-waste future by implementing Circular Economy solutions, promoting Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and empowering communities through waste segregation, recycling, and upcycling initiatives.
Business outline: ‘YOLO’ operates a Circular Economy-driven waste management system, focusing on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), plastic waste recovery, and upcycling. ‘YOLO’ runs 60+ drop-off points, processes hard-to-recycle plastics through our Material Recovery Center (MRC), and manufactures recycling machines for schools and businesses. ‘YOLO’’s solutions help corporations meet sustainability goals, empower marginalized communities through employment, and promote waste segregation education to drive long-term behavioral change.
