Announcement of the 5th Asia Beautiful Fellow
The Beautiful Store Foundation is pleased to introduce the three social innovators selected as the 5th cohort of the Asia Beautiful Fellow!

Since 2011, The Beautiful Store Foundation has supported social innovators through the Asia Beautiful Fellow program, accompanying their journey as they develop innovative business solutions to address social challenges.
Over the years, we have seen how their ideas and actions can inspire people to take part and create positive change in society.
Since 2022, the Foundation has expanded its support to social innovators across Asia.
Through the Asia Beautiful Fellow program, we select leaders who are working to address environmental challenges and strengthen the climate resilience of vulnerable communities.
Since launching the program in 2022, we have selected 13 fellows across 5 countries, supporting innovators working across diverse fields, including the circular economy and sustainable agriculture.
This year, three social innovators from Nepal, Cambodia, and Indonesia have been selected as the 5th cohort.
Through the fellowship, we will support them in expanding the environmental and social impact they are creating in their communities.
We invite you to learn more about the 5th cohort of the Asia Beautiful Fellow and join us in supporting their efforts to build more sustainable and resilient communities in the face of a rapidly changing climate.
The 5th cohort of the Asia Beautiful Fellow includes:
Deepak Marahatta Disaster Education Promotion Office (DEPO)
Country : Nepal
Social Mission : Building climate-resilient communities by integrating climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction education, local knowledge, and practical educational tools into schools, institutions, and community systems.
Business Outline : DEPO develops and provides solutions that strengthen climate resilience by combining climate change adaptation(CCA) and disaster risk reduction(DRR) with education and participatory learning tools. In collaboration with schools, local governments, and communities, DEPO designs educational programs that reflect the local context and uses participatory approaches such as serious games, game-based learning, and Participatory Rural Appraisal(PRA) to deepen communities’ understanding of climate risks and strengthen their disaster preparedness. By integrating these approaches into the community and education system, DEPO aims to build long-term climate resilience at the local level.
Thary Vorn SUDrain Co., Ltd
Country : Cambodia
Social Mission : Turning discarded coconut fibers into biodegradable filtration media, transforming wastewater and waste into valuable resources through a circular economy solution. By treating and reusing wastewater, we strengthen community water resilience amid increasingly variable rainfall and worsening water quality driven by the climate crisis.
Business Outline : SUDrain designs and provides decentralized, modular, nature-based wastewater treatment and water reuse solutions for areas with limited access to electricity and sanitation infrastructure. In Cambodia, where climate change worsens seasonal extreme floods and severe droughts, SUDrain builds adaptive systems that function smoothly despite high water-level fluctuations. Utilizing natural gravity flow, its solutions treat wastewater without additional energy inputs. By converting treated water into a reliable resource, SUDrain reduces dependence on fresh water and enhances community water resilience. Building on over 120 successful projects across urban, industrial, and hospitality sectors, SUDrain provides end-to-end support—from feasibility studies to installation and maintenance—driving sustainable water circulation and public health improvements in the region.
Matt Danalan Saragih PT Sosial Bisnis Indonesia (SOBI)
Country : Indonesia
Social Mission : Strengthening the livelihoods of smallholder farmers who are vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and building climate-resilient communities by advancing regenerative agroforestry and restoring forest and soil ecosystems.
Business Outline : SOBI partners with farmers to promote sustainable regenerative agroforestry. Building on experience providing tailored, comprehensive support centered on sustainable timber production, SOBI is now expanding beyond timber to non-timber forest products such as coffee and spices by establishing local-based agroforestry hubs. Through these hubs, SOBI provides on-the-ground support across the entire value chain, from agricultural input supplies and capacity building to access to finance, primary processing, and traceability. By connecting smallholder farmers who have struggled to access markets with higher-value markets, SOBI creates strong economic incentives for them to voluntarily continue regenerative agroforestry practices. Through this approach, SOBI aims to support farmers in achieving long-term economic independence while restoring forests and soils and building communities that are more resilient to climate change.
More stories from the 5th cohort will be shared on our website soon.
We hope you’ll follow their journeys and support their work.
